ABOUT ME
Hello!
I'm Agustina Aranda!
I'm a Paraguayan-American Regional Emmy award winning filmmaker, designer, and multimedia artist from Bridgeport, CT. I graduated UConn Stamford with a degree in Digital Media and Design and a Concentration in Film/Video Production, where I was presented with the Outstanding Senior Women Academic Achievement Award for excelling in my program and acknowledging my contributions to the UConn community.
My work has screened at film festivals and showcases all across the country, including my directorial debut "Public Hazard: Skateboarding Interrupted" that won Best Documentary at the Bridgeport Film Festival 2022, my senior thesis "Say Something" that world premiered at the Slamdance 2024 Film Festival, and my short documentary "Made In Bridgeport" that won the Student Documentary Award of Excellence at the BEA Festival of Media Arts 2024. Distributed by PBS CT, my work has also appeared in "UConn Reels", a compelling docu-series produced by Film/Video students in UConn's DMD department.
My culture and identity is a huge influence on my art, and working with diverse and underrepresented people is important to me. Whether making video, graphic design, fashion, or illustration, I love creating outlandish art and making elements of life a little more abstract.
